Hydraulics
Hydraulic technology has always been the symbol ofFAAC excellence and is still our flagship. We were the first to introduce it, in 1965, in the field of gate automations.
Employing hydraulics in this field requires a very high level of technology and absolute precision in assembly.
This allows us to offer you all the advantages of this technology, applicable in multiple contexts with consistently excellent performance.

AC Motors
FAAC was born with hydraulics, employing alternating current (230Vac) motors. In this case, the passage of current creates a rotating magnetic field inside the stator that turns the shaft and rotor.
In single-phase systems, a capacitor is inserted between the two stator coils. These motors have built-in thermal protection, which cuts off the power supply in the event of an overload to ensure maximum safety.
Despite technological advances and the introduction of DC motors, AC motors are still widely used today because of their established reliability and performance.

DC motors
DC motors consist of a rotor powered through a brush collector and a stator that generates a fixed magnetic field.
Although they do not have physical thermal protection on the motor, our devices are equipped with electronic thermal protection that ensures safe and reliable operation.
By adjusting the supply voltage and current intensity, both the speed and torque of the motor can be precisely modified.
DC motors offer many advantages: precise control of force and speed, very smooth acceleration and deceleration ramps, high efficiency, and battery backup in case of power failure.
