Intruder Detection is a key strategic component of our overall product mix, reinforcing our commitment to being a "One Stop Shop" provider.
We offer a complete range of intruder detection solutions utilising various technologies, including wired, wireless and specialist devices.
The solution set is manufactured and supported by a host of World's best Intruder Detection providers including HKC Security, Acre Security and Optex.
These systems are scalable to meet the needs of any size of property, from simple home dwellings up to large-scale commercial, banking and apartment block developments with various grading of systems available depending on the application type.
HKC Security
HKC SECURITY - INTRUDER DETECTION

HKC Security is a market-leading Irish manufacturer that specialises in professional-grade intruder alarm systems. They are widely considered the gold standard for residential and commercial security in Ireland and have a massive presence in the UK.
Their systems are known for being exceptionally robust, featuring high-quality "two-way" wireless technology (SecureWave) and a famous "shock sensor" that detects an intruder before they even break a window.
HKC offers three main types of panels to suit different building sizes:
Quantum 70: A fully wireless, self-contained panel with a built-in keypad and siren. It’s the "go-to" choice for homes and small offices, supporting up to 70 wireless devices.
SW 10270 (Hybrid): A powerhouse panel for large homes or commercial sites. It is "hybrid," meaning it can use both traditional wired sensors and wireless ones (up to 270 zones).
SecureHub: Their latest panel designed for the modern "connected" era, featuring integrated 4G and Wi-Fi for ultra-fast communication with the cloud.
Detectors: HKC is famous for its Inertia Shock Sensors. Unlike a standard magnetic contact that only triggers when a door is opened, HKC’s sensors detect the vibration of a crowbar or a smash, triggering the alarm before the intruder enters.
The HKC App: Allows you to arm/disarm the system, view event logs, and receive audible push notifications (the app literally "speaks" the alarm type to you).
Smart Home Control: You can use the app to trigger "outputs"— meaning you can open your gates, turn on lights, or boost the heating through your alarm panel.
Installer Support: Through the cloud, your security company can diagnose faults or change settings remotely, often saving you the cost of a call-out fee.
Acre Intrusion Systems
ACRE SECURITY - INTRUDER DETECTION

Acre Security offers the SPC range, which is widely considered one of the most powerful and flexible professional intrusion systems in Europe.
In 2024, acre rebranded the SPC line-up simply to acre Intrusion, though the industry still widely refers to the hardware and software as "SPC."
The SPC system is a "Hybrid" platform, meaning it can handle massive wired industrial setups while also supporting high-end wireless sensors for modern offices.
Hardware
SPC / SPCevo Panels
The system is divided into different panel sizes based on the number of zones (sensors) needed:
Small (SPC 4000 series): Up to 32 zones. Ideal for residential or small shops.
Medium (SPC 5000 series): Up to 128 zones. Designed for large retail or commercial offices.
Large (SPC 6000 series): Up to 512 zones. Built for critical infrastructure, hospitals, and high-security industrial sites.
X-BUS Technology:
A high-speed "ring" wiring system that can span up to 50 kilometres. If a cable is cut by an intruder, the system automatically detects it and keeps working from the other direction.
Built-in Access Control:
Unlike basic alarms, every SPC panel can also manage doors. It supports up to 64 doors and 2,500 users, allowing a staff member to swipe their badge to both open a door and disarm the alarm simultaneously.
The Cloud: SPC Connect (acre Intrusion Connect)
This is the "brain" in the cloud that connects the panels to the outside world.
For the User: A mobile app that allows you to arm/disarm the system, view live status, and receive "Push Notifications" the second an alarm triggers.
For the Installer: It allows security companies to configure or fix your system remotely. This often eliminates the need for an engineer to visit your site, saving time and call-out fees.
Multi-Site Management: A manager can control 50 different buildings from one single dashboard, syncing user codes across all of them at once.
Optex Intrusion Detection
OPTEX - INTRUSION DETECTION SENSORS

OPTEX is the global leader in sensing technology, specializing in high-performance detection for the most demanding environments.
While many companies focus on cameras or alarm panels, OPTEX is famous for the sensors that tell those systems when to react.
Their core philosophy is "Pre-Intrusion Detection"—detecting a threat at the perimeter or building exterior before a break-in actually occurs.
OPTEX is defined by three primary sensing technologies:
LiDAR (Laser): Their most advanced tech. It creates an invisible "virtual wall" or "curtain" using lasers. It can pinpoint an object's exact size, speed, and X/Y coordinates.
PIR (Passive Infrared): High-end motion sensors that use "Intelligent logic" to distinguish between a human and a small animal or blowing bushes, drastically reducing false alarms.
Active Infrared (Beams): "Tripwire" sensors that sit on fence lines. If an intruder breaks the invisible beam between two towers, the alarm triggers.
Another solutions is Fibre SenSys, a division of OPTEX, this solution focuses on fence line protection.
A fibre optic cable is attached to a chain-link or mesh fence. It "feels" the vibration of someone climbing or cutting the fence. It is unaffected by lightning or electrical interference, making it ideal for power stations.
OPTEX is the "eyes." of any intruder system offering specialised sensors that find the intruder in the dark, in the rain, or at a great distance.
