The first major innovation is Energy Saving — a smart system that detects the direction of pedestrian movement, preventing unnecessary door openings and minimizing the time the doors remain open. This helps reduce heat loss caused by prolonged openings.

By optimizing door usage, Energy Saving significantly reduces the energy consumption of HVAC systems, resulting in lower operating costs and a meaningful reduction in CO₂ emissions.

To validate its effectiveness, FAAC partnered with the University of Liège (Belgium) to develop THERMOTOOL — a software tool designed to quantify energy savings and emission reductions in measurable, economic terms.
